Ethyl acetate
Ethyl acetate (also known as ethyl ethanoate, ethyl ester of acetic acid, acetoxyethane, 1-acetoxyethane) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C4H8O2. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic fruity odor, which is usually present in adhesives and nail polish removers. Ethyl acetate is extremely flammable with a flash point of -4°C and a flammability class of 3, and it mixes well with all common organic solvents (alcohols, ketones, glycols, simple esters) but only slightly with water. This product is typically used as a solvent for cleaning, paint, and coating removal.
